Case Studies
Railway House B&B, Gorey, Co. Wexford
We looked at putting solar panels on the business, when we investigated, we decided that the PV panels were the best option for us and would satisfy what we hoped to achieve. We met with Tom from Solar Electric and we were really pleased with the detail that he went into, explaining the options we had, and how to get the best outcome. Our guests are always fascinated with the panels and love to see the generation of power versus the consumption of power we have when we show them the mobile app. Although Covid has not provided the business with the best year to make comparisons we can see the benefits already and we look forward to the years ahead where we strive to make the guest house more and more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Since we’ve had the solar panels installed we haven’t looked back. It did cost a bit at first. But we’re seeing the savings now each month, and we feel like we’re doing our bit to get our carbon footprint down.
